Amazon.com has acquired game studio Double Helix Games to extend its area in Gaming Field.
Amazon confirmed the news to Techcrunch and stated that “Amazon has acquired Double Helix as part of our ongoing commitment to build innovative games for customers.”
Prior to the aquisition Double Helix had released a reboot of Killer Instinct for the Xbox One.
Terms of the deal were not revealed.
Double Helix Games LLC is an American video game developer based in Irvine, California, founded in 2007 through two mergers of Foundation 9 studios, The Collective and Shiny Entertainment.
